Welcome to Sunday…

A day of rest for some, a day of relaxation for others and, for others, a day of religion…

Jesus, he’s still got it…

Water to Wine

I don’t know why people get upset when people make jokes about religion.  If you can’t have a laugh in Heaven, I don’t want to go there!  But if you are inclined to tut-tut, say “Irish wristwatches” three times quickly, out loud, and move on down to the birthdays…

Oops, got side tracked…

Fanny BriceNow, born on this day, sort of, was the career of Fania Borach.

Fania was born in New York to Jewish Hungarian parents in 1891 but not on this actual date…

But it was on this day in 1907 that Florenz Ziegfeld staged his first Follies on the roof of the New York Theatre – and one of his headliners was to be Fania, who changed her name to Fanny Brice and became one of the biggest stars of the era.

She was portrayed on stage and in the movie, Funny Girl, by Barbra Streisand.
