Croft Mill, Yorkshire

From Snowshill Manor it was about half an hour’s drive to Stratford Upon Avon – we just had a drive around town and across the river full of white swans and visitors on barges, then headed north to our destination and home for the next four nights – the beautifully renovated Croft Mill in Hebden Bridge (photo is the view from the lounge room).

It was just a walk around the corner and down the cobblestones for dinner at the White Lion pub and the shops – chemist, cafes, supermarkets.  The accommodation itself was fabulous on many levels – well, three levels really, and we were on the second. There are 18 beautifully renovated apartments – Plasma TV, Sky TV, separate bedrooms, a lovely bathroom, state of the art kitchen with quality appliances and a super generous welcome basket of provisions… the bit that really made it a winner for me is the disabled–friendly aspect – there is a lift to the upper floors and it is a stroll/wheel to a few pubs, the shops and restaurants.
