image (5)We recently arranged a holiday in Fiji for Col and his lovely wife and I asked him for some feedback on the accommodation and attractions. As you canĀ see, Col gets around on a very nifty travel scooter…

I thought you might like to know we enjoyed our holiday in Fiji, in particular our stay at the Warwick.

We hired a rental car to get around, Queens highway is the main highway that links all the main towns and passing the CoralĀ  Coast where the Warwick is located (approx 2 hour drive from Nadi). The road was as good as Queensland’s Bruce highway, if not better!

image (13)The resort is extremely user friendly if you have mobility issues. There are lifts to each level and ramps that allow access to most of the resort facilities and activity areas. I was able to access the restaurant located on the small island via a pathway. The resort staff are always on hand to assist and are friendly and obliging. I used my travel scoot while at the resort but did notice there was a wheelchair available if needed.

Located near the Warwick Resort was the Kula Ecopark which has boardwalks which you can see I was able to use to view most bird and animal exhibits.

If you are venturing into the towns such as Sigatoka you will find footpath access a little more challenging. I hope you find this information useful, I can send more detailed information if other travellers require it. Thanks for your assistance with the booking of our holiday. I will keep in contact, regards Colin Ashcroft.
