Apologies for not having recent posts happening. Without going into detail there were some health issues and other shiny things that caused distraction but (hopefully) things will return to normal in 2017. The photo is a recent family get together – fabulous having James and Laura home with us for Christmas! Quick update – have had to put the travel business on hold for a while and am returning to creative …read more

Whale watching cruises leave the Urangan boat harbour on half day and full day tours to the normally calm waters of Platypus Bay. With accessibility in mind for travellers with mobility issues …read more

Speak softly, young man and…

There is a saying that nobody ‘gets MS until they get MS’ and, from my experience, that is true. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in December 2010. I approach my MS with the attitude, it is what it is, and get on with enjoying things – my family, my friends, my work and the other stuff that weaves in and out of my journey. But I don’t believe I …read more

Grand Budapest Hotel is simply the best fun I have had in the cinema in 2014. It is a fabulous romp. Just fabulous, darling. Wife Annie and daughter, Laura, also loved it but I can see how it wouldn’t be everybody’s cup of Earl Grey. Writer/Director Wes Anderson has a unique style and this is the first movie I have seen of his – creative, meticulous, funny and beautifully acted. …read more

Later this month there will be a Mad Bastard in South Bank, Brisbane. While down at GoMA (Gallery of Modern Art) last weekend we went for a terrific lunch at an Italian establishment called dell’Ugo (182 Grey Street). The restaurant runs from Grey Street through to Little Stanley Street where you can dine al fresco and watch the passing parade. I knew which dish had my name on it from …read more
