Adelaide Entertainment Centre

Wheelchair and mobility restricted seating is available in the Arena and Theatre, with seating for accompanying companions. Seating is subject to availability at the time of booking. Wheelchair and mobility restricted bookings can be made through Ticketek’s special needs ticketing line by phoning 1300 665 915.

Arena Floor Level Stairs – Seating in Sections A-P is located on the Arena Floor, and all access is via 31 stairs from Doors 2, 4, 19 & 21.

Arena Foyer Level Stairs – Access to Sections 5 – 32 is via stairs up from the Foyer Level. There are a minimum of 7 stairs up to Row A and a maximum of 46 stairs up to Row P. Access to Sections 1 – 4 is via stairs down from the Foyer Level. There are a minimum of 3 stairs down to Row GG and a maximum of 15 stairs down to Row AA. There are no stairs to the wheelchair areas which can be accessed directly from the foyer (ground) level. There are 3 stairs down to the mobility restricted seating in Row GG.

Theatre Stairs – Retractable, tiered bleacher seating may be utilised at the very rear of the venue for some events staged in the Theatre. Patrons that book these seats are required to climb stairs.

 

Conveniently located disabled car parking is available on the Adelaide Entertainment Centre site. Disabled parking can be booked for events/concerts by phoning the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on (08) 8208 2222 in advance of the event to reserve your car park. Car parking is subject to availability at the time of booking, and a $10 entry fee per vehicle is applicable for concerts/events on arrival at the car park entry. A valid Disabled Person’s Parking Permit is to be displayed on vehicles.

Disabled Toilet Facilities – Disabled toilet facilities are available throughout the venue.

Wheelchair Access – Wheelchair access is available at all external entry points to the Arena at ground level. Wheelchair access to the Theatre is available at Door 1 at ground level and via Door 3, Door 4, & Door 5 by way of the disabled ramp which services the Theatre Terrace.

Food & Beverage Outlet Accessibility – All food and beverage outlets are accessible via wheelchair in both the Arena and Theatre.

Allphones Arena Sydney

Allphones Arena strives to ensure all patrons have a thoroughly enjoyable experience and accessibility is easy – when constructed for the Sydney Olympics, the design set a new benchmark for venues with disability access.

  • Up to two percent of the seating capacity caters specifically for wheelchair patrons and their companion.
  • Wheelchair positions are configured to enable wheelchair patrons and their companion to sit together.
  • Allphones Arena has been designed with three main public points of entry that are fully accessible; the Grand Foyer, the Northern Foyer and the Corporate Suite Guest Entrance. All levels of the building are accessible via lifts located adjacent to each entry and all patron lifts are fully accessible.
  • Accessible facilities are provided in change rooms for teams, officials and performers.
  • All access ramps longer than 5 metres are wide enough to allow two wheelchairs to pass simultaneously at any location along the path of travel.
  • Turnstiles are configured to enable wheelchair patron access into Allphones Arena via mainstream routes.
  • Signage and direction devices have been designed with 306 colour contrasts for sight impaired patrons. Counters at ticket windows and food concession outlets are provided at a height accessible for wheelchair use.
  • All restroom facilities have been designed for patrons with special needs and are easily accessible on every level.
  • Service Animals (trained Guide Dogs) are always welcome at the Allphones Arena.
  • Brisbane Entertainment Centre
  • Disabled access at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre is good – just don’t forget your parking permit if driving. Upon arrival you will be directed to the Disabled Parking Zone, which is less than 100m from the venue.
  • To access the venue, enter via the Ground Level Administration Area (left of the main stairs). Staff will escort you to the lifts to Level One. There are no stairs on this level and this is where you’ll find the concession outlets, merchandise, amenities and seat access.
  • Lifts are located in the Administration Foyer on the ground floor. Special needs patrons and their companions can exit the lifts on level 2 and proceed to their designated door (indicated on ticket) where ushers will assist you to your seating area.
  • The Centre has numerous restroom facilities throughout the building. Restrooms for the special needs patrons are easily accessible and are located at Doors 2, 6, 9 and 12 on the Main Foyer level.

Rod Laver Arena Melbourne

Access to Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena for people with limited mobility is via Olympic Blvd or the Rod Laver Arena and Hisense Arena tram stops. Ramps provide access throughout the site with additional lift access at the Rod Laver Arena Forecourt.

  • All turnstile entries have accessible entry to accommodate wheelchair/special needs
  • A short term drop-off area is located in the front of Hisense Arena
  • An external lift is located on the Rod Laver Arena Forecourt to enable patrons with limited mobility to get from Ground Level to Concourse Level.
  • Lifts 2, 3 and 4 facilitate movement between each level of the Arena, with additional lifts located at Arena Doors 8 and 17, and Exit Door 2, to provide access inside the auditorium and to the floor.

Wheelchair accessible seating bays allows for a wheelchair space with an adjacent companion seat. Accessible toilets (larger wider cubicle with door opening outwards) are available throughout the Arena.
